Maybe its just me, but I think I can save myself $115 by just turning off twitter.  Seems to be more of a joke, but $115 is still a heavy price for a gag gift.  Then again sites like BornRich.com just post about crap that is much more over-priced.

It’s the ideal gadget for students who have trouble concentrating. This prison-style ball and chain with built-in timer will help you study.

Despite the price I could use all the help right now, as it is finals week.  Which is also going to explain my lack of participation around here.  Take this as my announcement that things will be quiet for the next couple days.

My last final is Wed, 5/20.  Then I have tickets to the Google I/O Conference on 5/27-5/28, thinking about going to the Maker Faire from 5/30-5/31, and I have tickets to the JavaOne conference from 6/1-6/6.  There are a couple other conferences and such that I am looking at but don’t know about going yet.  I love living here!

A possible leak of what the new iPhone is going to hold for us showed up on Mac Rumors yesterday. A nice performance boost with twice the memory and storage makes it all that more convincing for me to switch from my Blackberry. (Damn contracts)

Still no official word from Apple, which also means no word on when we can expect to see the real deal on the market. My guess with them not attending Macworld next year, we will see it before Christmas.

You have to admire his persistence, it takes him three tries to get it right. Although one look at the ramp they are using would have been enough for me to say no. Adrenaline might be my suicide, but I know where the line of fun and death is drawn. At least this guy survived.

The original “Twouble with Twitter” created quite a craze among anyone I know on Twitter. Now the makers of Twouble with Twitter, have released a sequel called “Celebrity Twitter Overkill”.

Everyone loves a hug. But do you really want the world to know every time you do, or don’t get hugged? Maybe its a girl thing? Maybe not, cause if I was sporting this thing I would be trying to get hugs from everyone in the office. Guy, Girl, homophobic or not, I don’t care. Gadgets and geeky stuff first!

Dozens of riders were injured when two trolley trains collided underground in downtown Boston Friday night. The transit authority says one of the trolley operators told police he was sending text messages when the crash occurred. (May

Texting and driving is awfully tempting. The phone chirps and you know just a quick glance, to see who its from. Then you find yourself replying back, and then you have a full blown conversation brewing, via text. In some places it is illegal. Here in California it is anyway. I am not going to play myself out to being a saint, I know I am guilty of it.

Maybe I should be placed out on a limb more than the trolley driver though. Granted he was working and neither situation should be accepted. Although you got to think for a second if you were driving the trolley. Its on a rail headed in one direction, all you have to do is stop and go. Taking a second to write or read a text message…. if it was my job you can bet I will likely be doing the same thing. Doesn’t excuse the fact that its wrong, but it would have to be awful tempting. Stop and go all day? Or just maybe this is exactly why I sit in front of a computer all day.

The errant text message also sent dozens of passengers to the hospital and closed down one of the busier sections of the Green Line at the Government Center and Park Street stops. The stops have since reopened, and criminal charges are all but set to be filed against the operator, Aiden Quinn, 24, of Attleboro, Mass. Quinn actually admitted to first responders that he was texting his girlfriend at the time of the crash because she wouldn’t answer his initial call (which he also made, presumably, while driving a packed subway train).
